Resources - 資源 - Zīyuán

During the most difficult times in life,
find a mirror.
In the reflection,
you will see both cause and resolution
of all of your problems.

~inspired by Deng Ming-Dao

When adversity rears its head, you may ask what you have done to deserve such misfortune. If present difficulties are the result of unforeseen outcomes you had set in motion, then you must learn from your mistakes and search for possible avenues of correction. If the difficulties come from your character flaws, then the situation is resolved. Find the basic fault and eradicate it.

The wonderful part of life is that all resources necessary for resolving our problems are within us already. When we watch athletes in competition, some reach down and outperform even their own high expectations. We say that they reached deep down inside and pulled out something extraordinary. In the midst of our own confrontations with strife, we must live the same way. We need to find a conduit to our core, and use every ability at our disposal to overcome our obstacles. This is the manifestation of continuing self-development.

When we face problems, we have more power to respond. When we are triumphant, we have more confidence to handle future setbacks. Therefore, we must forge ahead, meeting life head-on. Self-cultivation is a must. By confronting difficulties and surpassing them, we accumulate momentum towards our dreams and life-goals, and will find inevitable success.
