Those who conquer the center
dominate the whole.

~inspired by Deng Ming-Dao

Today is the 183rd lesson. It is the exact middle point between the starting point and the desired goal. By reaching the center, it becomes possible to dominate the whole in any way that one pleases. In chess, those who control the middle of the board usually possess the superior position. In a storm, those who reach the eye are safe from the destructive wind and waves. In making decisions, those who cleave to the center are the most wise.

There are 182 lessons from this point forward. There is no turning back; only by looking forward can I attain a greater understanding of what's to come. This oddly centered life feels quite dynamic.

In all areas of life, goals and parameters of conduct are important. Define the scope of what you wish to do.In that way, you will be able to more easily know when you have reached the center, and thus, will be able to persevere through the struggles along the way.
